The heart of your circulation system, your pool pump, pulls water from one
or more suction ports (i.e., skimmer & main drain), and then pushes it
through the filter & heater and back to the pools' return ports.
Since we’re trying to push dog hairy waters through the filter system
as fast as we can, we do want the biggest circulation pump possible…
however - you still need to stay within the limits of your other equipment. A
pump that is too powerful could actually prevent filtration while damaging the
filter and heater. Work with your pool guy to get the biggest pump you can
without blowing apart your pipes and fittings.
