Aqua Paws, located in the heart of Vancouver and only minutes from downtown, is the first ‘eco-friendly’ canine warm water therapy pool in the city. We use an Ionization water purification system, reducing the need to use large amounts of bromine, chlorine and other harsh chemicals. The result is water that is crystal clear, pure and clean, much like the feel of a natural hot spring!
Aqua Paws offers an 8 x 20 ft indoor swim spa, custom-designed for canine warm water therapy. The facility is equipped with a shower/change area, and a ‘quiet place’, where dogs can rest, receive massage or chew a favorite toy after the swim session. As first-time swimming can be intimidating for dogs and injured animals feel particularity vulnerable, our pool was specifically designed to be a quiet, serene and relaxing space. All appointments are private, one-on-one sessions of either 45 minutes or one hour, depending on the individual dog and the health/wellness issues to be addressed. We encourage all clients to discuss hydrotherapy and it’s benefits with your veterinarian.
The grounds surrounding the swimming pool are of lush green grasses and gardens, fenced-in for privacy. A cozy outdoor seating area is available in the summer for a relaxing post-swim drink with your dog, while your pet rolls in the grass and suns it’s belly…the usual activity for a dog who feels young and frisky after a warm water swim session!
